Liquid and slightly viscous honey with amber colour, very intense and dark, with different intensity gradations and light shades from red to brown. Forest honey has an intense, vegetable and fruity aroma reminiscent of cooked fruit, the scent of dried apricots, caramel and fig jam. The taste is reminiscent of carob, rhubarb and licorice stick. It is not very sweet and has a silky and velvety consistency with good sustainability. It is also called "honeydew honey" and is the only honey derived not from the nectar of flowers, but from honeydew, i.e. the sugary secretion released by insects such as the Metcalfa pruinosa or other homopteric rhynchothes that suck the sap of the trees, absorbs its substances containing nitrogen. Our forest honey is harvested at the end of summer in the forest areas of different regions from northern to southern Italy: Piedmont, Emilia Romagna and Abruzzo. The MIELIZIA BIO – TOGETHER FOR BIODIVERSITY line was born from the many years of experience of Conapi beekeepers in terms of organic beekeeping techniques. The beehives of our beekeepers are located far from sources of pollution and the bees are raised in full account of their biorhythms and supplied with natural systems to protect against diseases. Mielizia honey is not pasteurised: it is made at a temperature that never exceeds 40 °C, the temperature of the hive, to preserve taste, aroma and nutritional principles.Free Italian gourmet polpa di pomodoro - 400 g
